After digging out of 30 inches of snow, it was nice to get out for a “Wintertime BBQ!”
Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” for January 29, 2016, was hosted by the Walter Reed Society at the American Legion Post 41 – Silver Spring, MD.
Over 30 wounded/injured service members, their families and guests enjoyed a delicious array of Beef, Turkey, Chicken, Pulled Pork and more. Of course, the mac n’ cheese and apple pie were big hits! Thanks so much to the members of American Legion Post 41 that assisted in serving the food and beverages.
Entertainment was provided by the “Ventura Highway” band. Fido, the band leader, had several guests swaying to the music, singing along, clapping to the beat and more.
Also, the service members got to select from an assortment of nuts, dried fruit, honey or maple syrup that were donated by Elizabeth Schindler from Arlington Lions Club.
We greatly appreciated the generosity of the Walter Reed Society for a wonderful evening!
