Old & New Friends!

The room was filled with “old” and new friends at Aleethia’s February 6th “Friday Night Dinner.”

We welcomed back Timothy Payne who was critically wounded in Afghanistan on July 3, 2011.

Tim has written an inspirational book entitled “The Bargain & the Squad Leader.” Tim said the book is about “how I overcame my injuries and push myself through the most difficult times I could not even imagine.” You can order Tim’s book here.

Also, our dear friend, Fred Downs, retired National Director of the VA Prosthetic and Sensory Aids Service and his wife, Mary joined us for dinner. Fred was severely wounded during the Vietnam War and underwent a transhumeral amputation of his left arm. Fred took a few moments to share his story with the group.

Our little guests enjoyed a night out with their parents!
