What a Night!

What a night! Over 133 wounded/injured/ill service members, their families and guests enjoyed a night of celebrations, an awesome five-course dinner, five birthdays, special guests and so much more.

Several club members hosted this wonderful dinner at the Washington Golf & Country Club.

Dr. Mary Vieten of Warfighter Advance and members of her team spoke of their mission and "The Advance 7-Day" training program which is "designed specifically for those Warfighters coping with post-deployment stress and other deployment-related traumas that adversely impacted their successful reintegration.

Jeffrey Painter, Chairman of the Virginia Dept. of ABC and Reed Davis, Sr. District Mgr. of VA & SC for William Grant & Sons met with every service member to express their gratitude for their commitment to serving our country. Hal Koster thanked Chairman Painter for Virginia ABC’s participation in the “Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum Program” for the past six years and “we look forward to another successful program in 2017 beginning in May.”

We welcomed back several service members who had attended the Friday Night Dinners during their recovery at Walter Reed in 2003-2006.
