Thanksgiving in March!
Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” for March 11th was hosted by the Arlington-Fairfax Elks Lodge #2188.
Over 145 wounded/injured service members, their families and guests enjoyed Roasted Turkey with all the trimmings…prepared and served by members of the Elks Lodge. We were happy to have 15 recipients of the Elks National Foundation’s “Most Valuable Student” Scholarships join the group. The ENF recipients assisted the service members and families throughout the evening.
To prepare for the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day, volunteers of “Freedom Petals” provided floral bouquets that included green shamrocks, pots of gold and more. Flowers have a strong positive impact on emotional health. Thanks to “Freedom Petals” for filling the room with excited smiles!
The Lodge’s Exalted Ruler welcomed everybody and said “the Lodge was truly honored to hold this special dinner for the service members who have served our country and sacrificed so much in doing so.”
