For God and Country!
The American Legion sponsored Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” on March 31, 2017, at the National Press Club. Over 68 wounded/injured/ill service members, plus their families and guests enjoyed a delicious four-course dinner including a “huge” porterhouse steak dinner.
We were honored to have Roscoe Butler, Deputy Director for Health Care--National Veteran Affairs & Rehabilitation Division join us for the dinner.
Mr. Butler gave a very rousing and inspirational welcoming speech. He thanked all the service members for their service on behalf of the American Legion. Mr. Butler stated that the American Legion “believes in the quality of care at VA Medical Centers” and they are “dedicated to help with improving the VA care that all veterans deserve.”
The “Operation Comfort Warriors” program provided grant items for door prizes as well as Amazon gift cards for all service members.
The children enjoyed the extra “play area!”
It’s Friday! So we got to Celebrate Sophie’s FIRST Birthday!
The Aleethia Foundation greatly appreciates the 13 years of partnership and continuous support of THE AMERICAN LEGION. Thank you for another amazing evening.
