WOW! What a night!

The Phelps’ Family of Jeannette, Pennsylvania hosted Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner.” Over 77 wounded/injured/ill service members, their families and guests enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Capitol Hill Club

Also, throughout the room were smiles of happiness since the wonderful volunteers of “Freedom Petals” provided corsages and floral arrangements to celebrate Military Spouse Appreciation Day and Mother’s Day Weekend.

Our friend, Paul Winston invited all the service members to sign up for the Annual Capital Concert to be held on Memorial Day weekend. He spoke of the special plans for the evening and the names of all the entertainers who will be performing at the concert on Sunday, May 28, 2017.

We were delighted to have representatives from America’s VetDogs who spoke about their mission to help those who have served our country honorably, live with dignity and independence. Several of the VetDogs were in attendance with their service members/trainers.

The Phelps’ Family has supported two “Friday Night Dinners” since 2006. We have watched their two sons grow up from being teenagers to the wonderful young men they are today. The oldest son, Carl spoke of how inspirational the service members he met over the years at the Friday dinners assisted with his chosen career path and so much more. Then he surprised everyone, by proposing to his girlfriend, Lauren. The “Aleethia Family” was honored to be a part of this special moment.

As always, the service at the Capitol Hill Club was outstanding and the staff was very accommodating and helpful with our many requests. A special thank you to the Chef for the delicious steak dinners and more!!!
