Toast to the 244th Birthday of the US Army!

Buses headed to Capitol Hill Club for Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” on June 14th. In honor of Flag Day, the grounds and rooms of Capitol Hill Club were filled with “Old Glory” reminding us of all who fought and died to defend our freedom.

Over 59 service members, family members and guests enjoyed a four course dinner including an array of appetizers and desserts.

The Chef provided freshly baked chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies for the bus ride back to Walter Reed.

Congratulations to Aleethia’s volunteer, Jim Mayer upon receiving the “John Fales Jr. Veterans Advocate Award” which was presented to Jim by the Blinded American Veterans Foundation before dinner.

We honored one of our “super Moms” with a surprised birthday cake presented by her four children …

Always happy to have children join the group!

A toast to the US Army’s 244th Birthday!

A special thank you is extended to the Capitol Hill Club for a wonderful dinner and evening for all!
