Grazie mille!!!

The Ambassador of Italy Claudio Bisogniero and his wife, Laura Denise hosted Aleethia’s Friday Night Dinner for June 19th.

Ambassador Bisogniero welcomed the service members and said it was an “honor to have everybody at tonight’s dinner.” The Ambassador spoke of the many years of camaraderie between the Italian and US troops.

Vice Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral James Winnefeld extended the gratitude of the wounded/injured/ill service members for being invited to dine at the Embassy.

Over 37 wounded/inured/ill service members plus their families and guests enjoyed a phenomenal evening of Italian cuisine, traditional sweets and more.

During the dinner, a variety of selections from famous Italian operas were performed.

Also, a surprised cake was presented to Mrs. Winnefeld who was celebrating her birthday!

We wish to thank members of the Lido Civic Club of Washington DC who provided assistance in making this dinner possible.

A huge thank you goes out to the Ambassador and his wife, the staff of the Italian Embassy and everyone who made this a most memorable evening!
