Hot Summer Night!
The outdoor temperatures were sweltering but inside ice cream sundae bar, cake pops and more kept it cool!
Aleethia's Friday Night Dinner held on Friday, July 27 was hosted by Clark Construction Group and held at the Rock Creek Mansion only a half mile from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center-Bethesda.

Founder, Michele and Volunteer, Barbara from “Freedom Petals,” filled the room with beautiful flower arrangements that had been designed earlier by the Freedom Petals’ volunteers. Of course, caregivers and some service members were delighted to receive the flowers to take back to their rooms.

We had a special treat from the Alexandria Cake Pops Company! Patriotic Cake Pops were part of the dessert for the evening. Tamara Wilson with her passion for arts and sweets provided an array of delectable and creative cake pops. Tamara is a military wife so she understands the sacrifices military spouses and their families make for us who enjoy freedom. Thank you for your service Tamara!!

Of course, summer means ICE CREAM!!! So with the assistance of two of the Clark Construction Group representatives…the ice cream sundae bar was open. Hmmmmmmm!
A special ‘THANK YOU’ to four students from St. Jane de Chantal School in Bethesda MD who volunteer assistance with setting up the Buffet and dining tables for the injured service members and their families. They helped with unloading the flower arrangements, clearing the tables, packing up dinners to go back to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center for some of the inpatients unable to join us for dinner and other needs throughout the evening.
