ROOF TOP DINNER!!!

An awesome evening! Thanks to our wonderful hosts Ester & Arthur Brooks, their sons, Carlos & Joaquin and daughter, Mareena whose warmth and friendliness were so welcoming from the moments the service members and their families stepped off the elevators to savor a delicious “roof top” dinner.

Over 74 wounded/injured/ill service members and their families enjoyed the roof top terrace views of downtown DC, the scrumptious buffet of steak, chicken, an array of Autumn vegetables and delectable desserts, a selection of books to choose from, gift cards for all, ping pong … but more importantly, the camaraderie throughout the room.

Ester Brooks is a Red Cross volunteer at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and enjoyed spending time with some familiar faces. Of course, we had a Birthday to celebrate!
