Together, we make a difference!

The American Legion and Operation Comfort Warriors program hosted Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” on October 7th at the National Press Club.

American Legion Commander of Post 20, Ken Dalecki, and his wife, Alice served as hosts for the dinner.

Over 95 wounded/injured/ill service members, plus their families and guests enjoyed a delicious four-course dinner including a “huge” porterhouse steak.

The Operation Comfort Warriors program provided Amazon Gift Cards for each service member and one lucky door prize winner received a Samsung Galaxy tablet.

Kids rule….thank goodness for extra space!

SSG James Pierce USA Retired, who was wounded in October 2012 when his unit (514th MP) was hit by a suicide bomber. James was transported to Walter Reed Military Medical Center for rehabilitation. After 14 years of service, James was medically retired and continues to serve his country in a new way by working for the National Park Service as a Park Ranger. James presented several of Aleethia’s volunteers with a National Park Service Centennial coin.

The Aleethia Foundation greatly appreciates the partnership and the continuous support of THE AMERICAN LEGION/OCW and for all they do for the Veterans!
