Because We Care ....

The American Legion sponsored Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” on October 26th at the National Press Club. Joe Sharpe, Director of the American Legion Veterans Employment & Education Division, welcomed the service members and spoke of the American Legion’s commitment to ensure that veterans receive ample opportunities for success once they leave the military.

Over 60 wounded/injured/ill service members, plus their families and guests enjoyed a delicious four-course dinner including an “enormous” porterhouse steak!

The Operation Comfort Warriors program provided Amazon Gift Cards and unique electronic gifts for each service member… “makes their hospital time feel a little bit more like home…”

Also, we were joined by members of the Michael Strange Foundation who are supporting the Gold Star Families and their monument request while visiting the White House this weekend.
