Let the Christmas Season Begin!

The December 1st Friday Night Dinner was held at the Capitol Hill Club. Over 73 wounded/injured/ill service members, their families and guests enjoyed a wonderful steak dinner. The Capitol Hill Club was aglow with beautiful Christmas Trees and decorations …which added a festive touch to the evening.

The Annandale Woman’s Club delivered 216 bags filled with homemade cookies. Since 2005, the Annandale Woman’s Club has baked over 18,700 cookies which are distributed each year at the first “Friday Night Dinner” held in December. Many of our “Elves” took back bags of cookies and gift bags to be distributed to service members and their families at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

There is nothing like a “homemade cookie” made with gratitude and love to put a smile on a service member’s face!

A “special group of ladies” provided handmade earrings, knitted items, notecards with watercolor designs, grab bags and so much more for the service members, caregivers, moms, wives and that “someone special.”
