Christmas is coming!
The December 4th Friday Night Dinner
was held at the Capitol Hill Club.
The Annandale Woman’s Club delivered 182 bags filled with homemade cookies. Since 2005, the Annandale Woman’s Club has baked over 18,000 cookies which are distributed each year at the first “Friday Night Dinner” held in December. Many of our “Elves” took bags of cookies to be distributed to service members and their families living on Base, in Fisher Houses and more. There is nothing like a “homemade cookie” made with gratitude and love to put a smile on a service member’s face!
A “jewelry designer” provided handmade glass pendants and earrings for the caregivers, moms, wives and that “someone special.”
Over 60 wounded/injured/ill service members and their families enjoyed a wonderful four course dinner.
Our special friends, Tracy and Carl Phelps drove from Jeannette, Pennsylvania to join the group for dinner.
The Capitol Hill Club was aglow with beautiful Christmas Trees and decorations … that added a special touch to the evening.
The Children enjoyed decorating a 3D Christmas trees with ornament stickers
