Christmas is Coming!!!!
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers hosted Aleethia’s “Friday Night Dinner” on December 5th.
Nick Yaksich, VP for Government & Industry Relations for AEM, presented a generous check to Hal Koster, Founder & Executive Director of the Aleethia Foundation, to assist Aleethia’s programs in supporting the wounded/injured/ill service members and their families. Santa came early!
Several local knitting groups and others provided handmade knitted scarves, hand designed earrings, glass ornaments and more which were given to caregivers, moms and wives. The service men were given gift bags filled with an assortment of items provided by donors wishing to thank them for their service and sacrifices.
Over 87 wounded/injured/ill service members, families and guests enjoyed a delicious Steak dinner plus a sumptuous dessert bar!
The ANNADALE WOMEN’S CLUB delivered over 120 bags of homemade cookies. Since 2005, the Annandale Women’s Club has baked over 16,000 cookies which are distributed each year at a “Friday Night Dinner” held in December. There is nothing like a “homemade cookie” made with gratitude and love to put a smile on a service member’s face!
Over 20 children attending the dinner were given holiday coloring books, ornaments to design, toys and more!
The Capitol Hill Club was decorated with beautiful Christmas trees in every room which added a special touch to the evening’s festivities.
THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE who made this a very special dinner!
