Tom Maier served in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1978. From 1971 to 1975 he was assigned to the 317th Tactical Airlift Wing and he served as the Administrative Assistant to the Wing Commander. The 317th provided vital support operations in training and deployment during the Vietnam conflict.

Tom assisted in the Friday Night Troop Dinners at Fran O’Brien’s Steak House from its inception during his many details to Washington, DC. He was and is an active supporter of the Aleethia Foundation where he currently serves as Vice President and remains committed to the newly injured troops and their recovery.
