A hot August night!

It was a hot August night…but the friendliness and hospitality that the service members and their families received from the DARCARS’ staff made it a relaxing and fun evening.

Tammy Darvish, Vice President of DARCARS welcomes everyone and expresses the honor it is to sponsor Aleethia’s Friday Night Dinner for the injured service members and their families tonight at Morton’s Steakhouse.

DARCARS provided dinner for 87 service members, families and guests. Gift cards for all service members, awesome door prizes, a great steak dinner and “Georgetown Cupcakes” to go for all!

Lt. Col Doug Martin & his wife, Alexandra were in town from Canada and were able to join us for dinner. Doug was instrumental during his 8 years post at the Canadian Embassy in Washington DC to invite the injured service members and their families to a “Friday Night Dinner” and other special events at the Canadian Embassy. During the evening he sent a text to his and Aleethia’s dear friend, Gary Sinise (who has attended several “Friday Night Dinners” over the years) and Gary sent his regards to the service members via a text.
