“It’s not what you’ve lost that counts…It’s what you do with what’s left…”

The Aleethia Foundation was honored to be selected for the cleaning of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial on May 9, 2015. We wish to thank Regina Brzozowski, President of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 8 for organizing volunteers from the American Legion Post to assist with the cleaning. A few service members and caregivers joined the group as well this morning.

The memorial conveys a “combination of strength and vulnerability, loss and renewal.” The glass and granite walls represent the strength and fragility of the human spirit. There are groves of ginkgos and cypress trees which represent survival under difficult circumstances.

Thanks to all the volunteers who joined us very early this morning to make sure this Memorial remains in pristine shape.
