An Evening for Heroes

Veterans and family members were able to enjoy an evening of good food and entertainment because of the generosity of the Aleethia Foundation donors.

The dinner event was part of a new initiative called, “The Buddy Program” sponsored by the Dorn VAMC. The Buddy Program is a voluntary program whose goal is to offer additional support to Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OEF/OIF) combat Veterans and their families. An Evening for Heroes dinner provided a free meal but it was an opportunity for Vets to meet and share their experiences with other Veterans while being entertained by the Fort Jackson Army Band.
